The Making of a Perfect Santuary

I just finished reading this article  11 Things To Make Your Bedroom The Perfect Sanctuary  and here is my output, a list.

1. Wall Fan. I've been wanting to have one in the master's bedroom just like in Kuya's bedroom. Why? It is a space saver.

2. Good pillows. A sanctuary requires inviting pillows. Thus, we need some new pillows. How do I know? The test is: when I don't feel like using it, it needs  a replacement. Our pillow cases are quite old too. Some are already faded. I love them because they are made of cotton but some good things never last. Bye? Not yet. Let's see what the budget says.

3. Bed sheets. Though I think buying a new set is great, wise spending should be a constant reminder. C'mon, tell me you're with me. Haha.... I will buy garter instead. Yes, garter. My bed sheets just need repair.

4. Things my hubby and I love. Calming photos are recommended. Family photographs are no-nos because they are emotionally loaded.  A bedroom must have things that make you smile when you wake up. Now, this is quite tricky. I am clueless. So far, what I have in those spots are my books and my son's.I need to consult hubby. (Insert smile here.)

5. Nightstand. A couple's bedroom must have two nightstands for balance but since our room is small, only one could fit. So far, what we have is a small foldable table. A replacement could wait. It is impractical to buy. I promise myself to buy my dream house a new set of nightstands.

6. Drama. There must be something in it that will make you say THIS IS MY BEDROOM! Hmmm... Another thing to ponder,

(Will post pictures later)

The Resurrection

Just found this one. Hahaha....

Getting old, eh!

My dilemma right now is what to right.

Boooo!

Let me start by introducing the new member of my family.

She is my baby who is no longer a baby, Shannen.

My hubby and I are blessed two have two (2) kids, a boy and a girl. Complete already, right!

Next.

These days I have been preoccupied of ideas of making a house a home. So definitely, you'll see more of these lingering thoughts these days.

One of the major challenges, of course, is money. So since I have no work, you will see how I manage to do things without spending or spending much.

I should have shared what I did in December 2016 but I won't. Let's start with TODAY!

Shopping Part 1

On my birthday, I took the chance to buy some must-grab items in eager anticipation of making a house a home.

I bought a stainless cooking pot which cost almost Php 1,000. I thought it was a great deal because it was 50% off. I am beginning to realize that it is quite expensive. Haha! Well, it is okay.

I bought a Westinghouse pan too. It was only Php 450. Nod bad. I just hope the pan is reliable. I am keeping my fingers crossed now.

I also got 3 colorful mason jars and a 4-set of colorful glasses. I am not sure if a need them but I am sure I want them. I also put a hand towel, 2 pcs. of small bowls and a 10-peso soap dish in my shopping cart

Right after work of hubby, we came back to buy a flat iron. We chose a 500-peso Westinghouse iron.

Hubby, be ready to pay almost 2.5K. Lagot!

A Place to Call Our Own

Home is where my family is... Home is a place where love is... my haven!

For a homebody like me, my own personal space matters so much. This explains how I feel about moving in into a new house.

After getting married, my hubby and I lived in Ermitano, San Juan City. Unfortunately, when our landlady passed away, living there became unbearable and unhealthy for me. Being pregnant to my eldest, I convinced my hubby to leave. Then, we rented my hubby's aunt's place for a short while. In 2013, hubby, our baby and I moved to my hubby's parents' place.

Now, it's January 2016. Soon, our baby bunso will come out. Our family has grown bigger. It's high time for us to have a place we can call our home.

I hope soon we can buy our own house. Well, that is perhaps right after I found my own work to help hubby financially.

In the meantime, I am focusing on how transform the place that we our going to occupy a home, a place of love and harmony with my family.
